Maria Hassabi’s «SHOW»premiered at The Kitchen, New York in 2011. «SHOW» casts a focus on the elements of live performance in a bid to make them plastic and palpable.

The relationship between the audience and the performers, their mutually assigned spaces, movement and roles, are implicated in the work as they share the changing sequence of what unfolds. Hassabi is a New York-based director, choreographer and performance artist. She studied at the California Institute of the Arts and Merce Cunningham Studio. Her works are presented in theaters, museums, galleries and public spaces. Hassabi is a 2011 In 2013 she represented The Cyprus Republic as part of The Cyprus and Lithuanian Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale.

Oslo Kunsthall/Soft City
Soft City is a three-day programme of performances and screenings around the city of Oslo, both in established venues and in public space, including several major new commissions. Soft City presents works by contemporary artists that inhabit or subvert established genres of performance. Works by Chto Delat, Keren Cytter, Maria Hassabi, Henrik Plenge Jakobsen, Steinar Haga Kristensen, Ignas Krunglevičius, Øyvind Mellbye, Sandra Mujinga, Sult and Tidens Krav
